9th Annual Architecture & Design Firm

Charity Event Benefiting Free Arts

The Art Swagger L.A. auction is over. There was a hiccup in the site and it was unable to process credit card information. We will notify all winners by email today! Payments will be coordinated and processed on/by Monday, November 2, 2020. Thank you so much!

Art Swagger fuses design, art, and the act of giving back through a single evening each year. The event has been drawing the Los Angeles A&D community closer since 2011. It has grown to become one of Free Arts’ most impactful fundraisers, with dozens of supporting firms and hundreds of professionals participating.

As we find ourselves and our communities chartering these precarious times, we have decided to forego the in-person event this fall. Instead, we have transformed our largest fundraiser of the year, into a virtual event.

With this pivot to a virtual event, we hope to expand the participation, and awareness and support of Free Arts. We invite you, your friends, family, and colleagues, to join us to virtually to celebrate the greater Free Arts Cause!

Online Artist and Designer Panel

This year’s fundraising efforts will culminate in an Artist and Designer online discussion and finale “party”. We will kick off with a live DJ stream by DJ Malachi, followed by updates on our fundraising efforts & shout outs to our generous sponsors. Our main event will be hosting a live discussion between artists in their studio spaces and designers at home, moderated by our committee member and talented designer, Brandon Guzman. Keeping true to our roots we are hoping to engage in a creative discussion between artists and designers and the ever-growing collaboration between art and space. Although we can’t interact with each other in person, we are excited to join our panelists in this new digital standard.

Dear Free Arts Families, Friends and Supporters:

Right now is one of the toughest times in our country's history; as we continue to battle a deadly pandemic and the resulting economic distress while, once again, coming face-to-face with the long-term effects of racial injustice. Watching many partake in protests to speak out against inhumanity is, on one hand, inspiring for the dedication it represents and, on the other, heartbreaking for its profound need.

These times serve as a reminder of the challenges faced by Free Arts children and families- the urgency of our mission to empower children from underserved communities through art and mentorship, creating hope, resiliency and self-esteem.

We at Free Arts are committed to the future- we intend to survive and grow through this time. We will continue to use art as a vehicle for community, change and freedom. Let's use our platform and collective gifts to tell our stories louder than ever, and to create a much more just world.

What remains, however, are the indelible images of George Floyd and the many who came before him. It is in their name and the children & families we serve that we embrace the fight for equality and justice as a common cause, one we all fight together - solve together.

We stand in solidarity!

We stand for equality!

We stand together for change!
